Art, for me, is a transformation from materials and techniques to a wonderful creative representation of the subject. I prefer subjects of flowers and/or people because personality and beauty shine through distinctly. I use a subtractive method of block printing that layers multiple colors to create depth and texture in a print. My work creates a visual fascination from both far and close-up vantage points. I see in my art an interpretation of individual traits reflecting the subject’s splendor. For my clients, my art is an image that speaks to the characteristics most lovedin the subject. My goal, as an artist, is to let others see more than the surface beauty of my subjects. I want to portray the depth of personality in the world around us.
